history
The Cave des vignerons de Tavel is in the purest Provençal style. It was built in 1937 when Tavel wines were labelled AOC. It is to date the only winery to be opened by a President of the Republic – Albert Lebrun in 1938. The Cave de Tavel produces half of the Tavel AOC wines, as well as Lirac, Côtes-du-Rhône Villages and Côtes-du-Rhône and stretches over 680 Ha..There are 140 producers, all involved in the day-to-day life of the winery and have their say in the investment decisions for making wines which frequently win medals and are regularly mentioned in wine guide.
Vineyard
The vines strech on the township of Rochefort du Gard and Pujaut .The soil : Clay and limestone Vines : 10 ha - 70 hl per ha- 15 years old
Winemaking
Vatting for 5 to 6 hours. Fermentation takes 10 to 12 days at low temperatures (56-58° F).100% free-run juice. /nNo ageing
Tasting notes
Eye: bright rosé colour Nose: woodland fruits. Mouth: fresh and very fruity.
Food pairing
Best served at 54°F-58°F Enjoyable as an aperitif, for a picnic, grilled meat, and exotic cooking. This pleasure wine will be appreciated with friends.
Aging potential
1 to 2 years. Drink while young.

2020
The 2020 Chante Pierre Rose opens to pretty aromatics of white peach, orange zest and even some hints of melon which are underlined by hints of wet stoney minerals. On the palate this possesses a lovely texture and is well balanced, remaining fresh through the finish. A lovely Rosé that should drink beautifully upon release.
