Rosé,Rosé d'Anjou

history
In 1957, around forty winegrowers grouped together to confront the economic difficulties of the era, pooling far more than mere financial concerns. At the time, Robert, Marcel, Yvon, Geneviève and the others, hailing from the same terroir, hewn from the same rock and sharing the same time-honoured values, set up their cooperative at the top of the hill in Saint-Cyr-en-Bourg. “They chose to share their experience, their expertise and their dreams„
Vineyard
The Rosé d’Anjou appellation areas merge together with those of the Anjou AOC area. A clear reflection of the climate that has brought them forth, these wines are tender and ever so slightly mild, and give their best when still in the full bloom of youth. Vines : 40 years old - Yield : 60 hl/ha
Winemaking
The rosé is « bled » from fermenting vats and bottled early to retain all its freshness./nIn stainless steel vats.
Tasting notes
Brilliant pink color. Very attractive fruity nose with hints of strawberry, boiled sweets, redcurrant and fresh grapes. Quite fresh, round, and delicious on the palate with strawberry and raspberry flavors. The softness is underpinned by elegant tannin and the long, fruity aftertaste is enhanced by a certain vivaciousness.
Food pairing
Best enjoyed chilled (50-54°F), with dishes to share : delicatessen meats, summer salads, lasagna or pizza. Simply for pleasure !
