Owner of Chateau Lynch-Bages since 1939, the Cazes family has, over the generations, expanded its range of vineyards and developed a true model of tourism based on a tradition of hospitality.
Jean-Charles Cazes models a wine that is quickly recognized. André Cazes, the youngest of his 4 sons, studied law. It was not until the 1960s that he took over the reins of the estate. And like his father before him, his influence will be decisive. He regenerated and enlarged the vineyard, which reached nearly 100 hectares at the end of the 1990s.
After studying engineering, André's son, Jean-Michel, returned to Pauillac in 1973. He was accompanied by Thereza, a Portuguese woman from Mozambique, and their first three children, Kinou, Marina and Catherine, soon to be joined by Jean-Charles. Their marriage, made official by André, then mayor of the town, laid the first stone of a resolutely cosmopolitan family history.
