history
The Dubard Family is for more than 30 years, the most famous producers of refreshing and reasonably priced wines in South-West France. The family members offer differing personalities of graduate oenologists, wine makers and viticulturists who together make up a dynamic and passionate team that has been renowned in the Bergerac wine region for decades. Being receptive to their terroir, combining common sense and long experience with ceaseless wine-making and viticulture: these are the founding principles on which the family has relied in their exceptionnel cuvées. They are also ongoing on the environmental label "HVE" (High Environmental Value).
Vineyard
Nestled in a rolling landscape dotted with woods, bastides and vineyards, the terroirs of Château Laulerie showcase the diversity of an unspoilt nature. Its former Perigord-style farm adorned with an enclosed courtyard and a 17th century dovecote shows its noble origins. With its dry white, rosé and red wines, Château Laulerie offers the unique harmony resulting from the alliance between a contrasted but mild climate and a complex calcareous soil.
Winemaking
the grapes are de-stemmed and introduced to stainless tanks. A 12 hours long cold maceration for skin contact, maximises flavour extraction and provides strength and fullness on the palate. The grapes are then gently pressed, and the juice settles for two days before being racked directly to French oak barrels.
Tasting notes
Fermented and aged in French Oak (6 months). Bringing both the typical freshness of a dry white, and the supple richness of the finest oak-aged white wines, this cuvée is truy unforgettable !
Food pairing
This "cuvée" is recommended with delicate white meats, seafood dishes, goat's cheese, or can simply be enjoyed on its own.
Aging potential
It will best be consumed while young, when the thirst-quenching freshness is dominant, but will develop further complexity if cellared for additional years.
