history
Clement V, the first Pope of Avignon Papacy discovered the richness of the terroir of Châteauneuf-du-Pape in 1314. His successor Jean XXII, gave the terroir its true letters of nobility, with vineyards taking off and expanding its recognition.
Vineyard
In 1963, Raymond, the son and Danielle, his wife took over and created the Domaine Usseglio Raymond. It is essential for Stéphane Usseglio Estate to preserve and respect as much as possible the life and balance of the terroirs and their vines.
Winemaking
100% hand-picked and sorted, 100% destemming, 100% in traditional concrete tanks to preserve in purity of the fruit and favor the authentic expression of the terroir.
Tasting notes
This elegant and tonic wine has a seductive nose revealing notes of fresh red fruits. With its lively and spicy red fruit aromas, this wine is exciting just by the smell. Around mouth, gourmet and ample. Its subtle balance allows a tasting in its youth, between Richness and freshness.
Food pairing
It goes perfectly with grilled red meat or "sauce", coq au vin, glazed duck and caramelized turnips.
