history
Dominating the Loire Valley from its “peak”, Sancerre vineyards were predestined for viticulture, covering more than 2,900 hectares. Especially suited to the local climate, Sauvignon Blanc were widely planted and have allowed Sancerre to retain its status as the Loire Valley's "king of the hill".
Vineyard
3.11 miles north of the village of Sury en Vaux, in the Sancerre region, 125 miles south of Paris.Gueneau's family bought the plot of Coteaux du giennois in 2008. It spreads over 3 hectares (3.5 acres).The terroir : Clays with flints.Vines : 20 years old.
Winemaking
Traditional vinification with native yeast in stainless steel vats. Ageing on fine lees in a tank until the bottling .
Tasting notes
A fleshy and fresh wine with a pale yellow hue . A nose with fruity and floral notes .
Food pairing
It will be perfect as an aperitif or with selfish and fish
