history
Maison Breban is one of the last family owned company producing artisanal sparkling wines in the South of France. The House of Breban Wines ("Vins Breban") has been producing and supplying a wide range of wines of varying styles and aromas to restaurants and retail distributors since 1952. The grand-father, Raymond, started elaborating sparkling wine in his garage in 1942. He has then decided to add a full range of wines from Provence. Since that time, two generation have been managing the company with the same passion and philosophy for quality.Today, they are famous in France and all over the world for the quality of the wines of Provence and for their premium hand crafted sparkling wines.
Vineyard
Cultivated by the monks until the late 18th century, the hilly vineyard commands a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. Currently the estate is comprised of a cellar, a tree climbing course, and a guest house. The vine plots are located around the estate. The soil is clay-limestone.
Winemaking
The wine is vinified according to very rigorous specifications established by Vins Bréban with its partners: determination of the date of the harvest, vinification at low temperature, specific yeasting. Result of a second fermentation of 30 days called "prise de mousse", this wine is then filtered and bottled. The wines rest on slats for 3 months before being marketed
Tasting notes
L'Arnaude wine has a pale petal pink color. The nose is greedy with fruity aromas of red fruits and strawberries. On the palate, a nice intensity with fine bubbles. Nice balance.
Food pairing
Arnaude rosé is an excellent aperitif wine. It goes well with grilled fish and seafood. Served at a temperature of 8 to 10°C
