history
Dominating the Loire Valley from its “peak”, Sancerre vineyards were predestined for viticulture, covering more than 2,900 hectares. Especially suited to the local climate, Sauvignon Blanc were widely planted and have allowed Sancerre to retain its status as the Loire Valley's "king of the hill". In Domaine J. Gueneau, Jules has been working with his father on the family estate for several years. ​
Vineyard
3.11 miles North of the village of Sury en Vaux, in the Sancerre region, 125 miles South of Paris. Clay with flints on ferruginous soils. Vines aged between 3 and 40 years old.
Winemaking
Traditional vinification in stainless steel vats with 100% bleeding
Tasting notes
This rosé is typical of the Loire Valley rosés wines : very refreshing, full of flavor.
Food pairing
Excellent for barbecues or picnics, it will also pair very well Asian cuisines.
