history
Grandfather Francis Usseglio came from Italy in 1931 where he settled in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. He produced his first wine in 1949. In 1963, Raymond, the son and Danielle, his wife took over and created the Domaine Usseglio Raymond. It is essential for Stéphane Usseglio Estate to preserve and respect as much as possible the life and balance of the terroirs and their vines.
Vineyard
Part of the grapes comes from the sorting carried out during the harvest on certified organic and biodynamic grapes from the different plots in classified appellations. They are mixed with the rest from plots located outside the appellations on the right side of the Rhône.
Winemaking
Respectful of the living, the soil, the ecosystem and agree with the specifications of Organic and Biodynamic Agriculture. No use of chemicals (pesticides, insecticides, etc.) 100% in traditional concrete tanks.
Tasting notes
Perfect introduction to the estate's red wines. A wine with a deep ruby color and a beautiful shine. The nose is fresh with aromas of sour cherry and wild berries such as blueberry and blackberry accompanied by spices and garrigue. The mouth is velvety and balanced, with a finish on supple tannins.
Food pairing
You can pair this wine with dishes in sauce or cheese.

The cornucopia of black and red-berry aromas is both joyful and subtle. Although this is a rich and generous red, it is also delicately spicy. Remarkable depth and balance for this category. Very clean finish. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drink now.
