I separately tasted the samples from the lieux-dits of Les Greffieux and Les Bessards, which will form the final blend of the 2022 Hermitage. This will be the second vintage, following the inaugural 2021. Fermented with 100% whole clusters, the 2022 offers alluring orange blossom, tangerine peel, raspberry jam, pencil shaving and cedar aromatics, paired with stemmy undertones. Cropped at 38 hl/Ha, this is shaping up to be an outstanding Hermitage with ripe yet seamlessly polished tannins. I can’t wait to taste it once bottled;
