The Dubard Family for more than 30 years, has been the most famous producer of refreshing and reasonably priced wines in South-West France. The family members offer differing personalities of graduate oenologists, winemakers, and viticulturists who together make up a dynamic and passionate team that has been renowned in the Bergerac wine region for decades. Being receptive to their terroir, combining common sense and long experience with ceaseless wine-making and viticulture: are the founding principles on which the family has relied in their exceptional cuvées. They are also ongoing on the environmental label "HVE" (High Environmental Value).
Vineyard
The Dubard family has been making wine in Bergerac since the late 1970s. Their vineyards are on sunny, calcareous-clay hillsides, utilizing sustainable farming for high-quality grapes. The name "Les Gouyats" refers to the playful nature of the current owner and his cousin in their youth.
Winemaking
Grapes are de-stemmed and undergo a 12-hour cold maceration in stainless steel tanks, followed by gentle pressing and a two-day settling. A slow, cool fermentation with specific yeasts for about three weeks enhances fruit characteristics. After maturation, the wine is lightly filtered, blended from several tanks, and bottled young to maintain freshness.
