"Les Murières" is a cuvée dedicated to a place where a traditional complementary activity was practiced among winegrowers: the education of the silkworm, which requires abundant quantities of mulberry leaves.
Vineyard
Trellising with Cordon de Royat for the grape varieties Syrah, Carignan and Marselan. Bush vine for Grenache noir. Density : 4000 vines/ha. Stony hillsides and/or gravelly limestone soils. South East exposure.
Winemaking
“Macération pré-fermentaire à chaud” before cuvaison during 12 to 15 days with pigeage. Temperature control to manage a smouth extraction.
Tasting notes
Nice deep purple colour, intense aromas of strawberry, raspberry and redcurrant. In mouth the wine is round, well structured with fine tannins and nice freshness.
