history
Cave de Tain is a family-driven cooperative with a legacy of winegrowing that spans four generations. Located at the base of the Hermitage hill, they cultivate 22 hectares alongside additional contributions from member winegrowers, focusing exclusively on wines from their own grapes. In 2014, they invested in advanced technology to enhance wine quality across all appellations, paving the way for innovations such as organic and sulfite-free wines. Committed to sustainability, Cave de Tain also fosters a new generation of winemakers who view themselves as active contributors to the winery’s mission. To taste their wines is to experience this dedication firsthand.

Winemaking
Hand-picked grapes. Gentle pneumatic pressing and selection of the best juice. Cold clarification, before fermentation, taking place partly in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats, and partly in barrels. No malo-lactic fermentation to preserve a nice freshness. Ageing: On fine lees for about 6 months, partly in vats and partly in barrels (2/3), followed by early bottling.

Color: clear, pale with green tints Aromas of white fleshed fruits, with a great intensity. On the palate: Delicious and well-balanced, melting together white ripe fruits, almond and quince paste. Fresh and persistent finish - a superb Saint Joseph wine!
