history
The Domaine Courtois is a Jaume family-owned estate going back 5 generations. Pascal and Richard Jaume have now taken over from their father and are pursuing the tradition of quality that their father Claude started. The vineyards are located in an outstanding terroir of the Rhone Valley, the Vinsobres that combines the advantages of both the southern and the northern Rhone Valley.
Vineyard
In the south of the Rhone Valley in France, 40 miles north of Chateauneuf-du-Pâpe in the direction of the Alps. chalk and clay. Vines : 10 years old - 18 acres - Yield : 45Hl/Ha - 2.75T./acre.
Winemaking
Temperature-controlled vatting for 5 to 8 days. The grapes are vinified at 77°F to produce a wine with a lot of fruit. The best time for bottling is in April. The grapes are harvested by hand. Ageing : In stainless steel vats with early bottling.
Tasting notes
A very fruity style of Côtes-du-Rhône, fruity with soft tannins.
Food pairing
With all foods, cold cuts, pizza, pasta and simply on its own.
