history
In 1957, around forty winegrowers grouped together to confront the economic difficulties of the era, pooling far more than mere financial concerns. At the time, Robert, Marcel, Yvon, Geneviève and the others, hailing from the same terroir, hewn from the same rock and sharing the same time-honoured values, set up their cooperative at the top of the hill in Saint-Cyr-en-Bourg. “They chose to share their experience, their expertise and their dreams„
Vineyard
Crémant de Loire can only be produced in the Anjou, Saumur and Touraine appellation areas. These are located 150 to 200 miles West of Paris in the direction of the Atlantic Ocean. The Crémant de Loire comes from vines planted on tuffeau, a famous local limestone soil. Vines : 45 years - 25 acres - Yield : 65 Hl/Ha - 4 T./ acre
Winemaking
Double fermentation. The alcoholic fermentation takes place at low temperatures. Shortly after the malolactic fermentation, the wine is bottled and becomes sparkling./nAged on laths for at least 12 months and often 2 to 3 years. This process produces not only carbon dioxide gas, but also a light deposit which is eliminated by the traditional methods of "riddling" and "disgorging". After this process, bottles are stored.
Tasting notes
Golden highlights are enhanced by the fineness of its bubbles and steady bead, which are due to the long period the wine spends on laths in the cellar. This wine is crisp, full-bodied and subtle on the palate.
Food pairing
Crémant de Loire has the finesse and distinction of a reception wine and will grace even the most refined of tables. It may also be enjoyed throughout the meal or just before the dessert.

The Prince Alexandre Cremant de Loire Brut opens to a bouquet of apples, pears, lemon, brioche and hints of jasmine and crushed stones. Lithe and light on its feet, with a fine the mousse backed lovely acidity and a mineral character that persists through the finish.
