Dominating the Loire Valley from its “peak”, Sancerre vineyards were predestined for viticulture, covering more than 2,900 hectares. Especially suited to the local climate, Sauvignon Blanc were widely planted and have allowed Sancerre to retain its status as the Loire Valley's "king of the hill". In Domaine J Gueneau, Jules has been working with his father on the family estate for several years. ​

3.11 miles North of the village of Sury en Vaux, in the Sancerre region, 125 miles South of Paris. clay with flints. 3 to 30 years- 17 acres - 4000 cases - 60 Hl/Ha - 3.7 T/acre
Winemaking
Traditional vinification with native yeast in stainless steel vats. On lees in stainless steel vats. Ageing on lees gives the wines more fullness.
Tasting notes
Pale yellow. Nose of tropical fruits with a touch of flintiness. A crisp wine with good length.
Food pairing
Shellfish, oysters, grilled fish or simply on its own.
