history
The Breban company is one of the last family owned company producing artisanal sparkling wines in the South of France. The House of Breban Wines ("Vins Breban") has been producing and supplying a wide range of wines of varying styles and aromas to restaurants and retail distributors since 1952. The grand-father, Raymond, started elaborating sparkling wine in his garage in 1942. He has then decided to add a full range of wines from Provence. Since that time, two generation have been managing the company with the same passion and philosophy for quality.Today, they are famous in France and all over the world for the quality of the wines of Provence and for their premium hand crafted sparkling wines.
Vineyard
SANTONS is a famous name in Provence, a santon is a Provencal ornamental figure which is put in the Christmas crib at the foot of the Christmas tree. The vines of this cellar are mainly planted on more or less dry hillsides in full bright Provence of Jean Giono. The vine growing is environment-friendly and the cellar knew how to modernize its chaî of wine making so that its wines, in particular rosés, are very current and pleasant.
Winemaking
The syrah is a characteristic red varietal of the northern part of the Côtes du Rhône. It gives to the wine its structure, its color and its aromas of small red berries, with a characteristic flavor of violet/nNo ageing.
Tasting notes
Rosé wine SANTONS is of a salmon color, possessing great intensity on the nose (gooseberry), supple in texture, and easy to drink.
Food pairing
A perfect accompaniment to quiches, pissaladières, and crudités. To be served at a temperature of 60° to 65°F.
