history
The Dubard Family is for more than 30 years, the most famous producers of refreshing and reasonably priced wines in South-West France. The family members offer differing personalities of graduate oenologists, wine makers and viticulturists who together make up a dynamic and passionate team that has been renowned in the Bergerac wine region for decades. Being receptive to their terroir, combining common sense and long experience with ceaseless wine-making and viticulture: these are the founding principles on which the family has relied in their exceptionnel cuvées. They are also ongoing on the environmental label "HVE" (High Environmental Value).
Vineyard
The Dubard estate is located on sunny hillsides overlooking the right bank of the Dordogne, east of Bordeaux. Clayey limestone with high density planting (5,000 stocks per hectare). Vines: 25 years old -81 acres - Yield: 50 Hl/Ha - 3 T. per acre
Winemaking
The grapes are destemmed and put into stainless steel tanks to cold skin-macerate for 12 hours. Most of the varietal aromas are extracted at this stage. The grapes are then pressed gently and the juice left to settle for two days before being racked. After maturing, the wines are lightly fined and several vats are blended. The white Château Laulerie is bottled to retain its fresh vibrant flavours.
Tasting notes
This white wine has a nose of gooseberry, exotic fruit and peach. The palate is rich and generous, with a fresh, tasty finish and a fruity after-taste.
