La cave des Vignerons du Vendomois has been created in 1929. It gathers 39 winegrowers for a surface of 165 ha of vines and belongs to Alliance group. Alliance Loire is a group of winegrowers who decided in 2002 to pool their resources in order to offer a complete range of authentic, well-balanced wines from Muscadet to Vouvray along the Loire River. Loire wines in general are known as reasonably priced refreshing wines
Vineyard
Located in the Northern part of the Touraine region. It is 100 miles South-West of Paris.The Coteaux du Vendômois appellation is located on clay-limestone slopes benefiting from a beautiful sun exposure and a clay and flint subsoil.
Winemaking
The grapes are directly put into a pneumatic press, slowly fermented at 18°C, and bottled in the spring./n
Tasting notes
Crystal-clear yellow color with subtle green highlights. Intense floral and fruity bouquet with a slight toastiness. Beautiful mineral freshness on the palate with citrus flavors and a hint of honey.
Food pairing
Ideal with delicatessen meat, seafood, fish and salad or simply on its own.
