The Luc Pirlet estate is located in the Languedoc Roussillon, the largest wineproducing region in France. Luc is fortunate in having his vineyard in the greatest part of this region which combines the advantages of the Mediterranean and Atlantic climates near the Pyrenean mountains.As a result, the wines produced have the fruitiness given by the south-facing Mediterranean hills, and a good level of acidity due to the high altitude of the hills on the Atlantic side.
Vineyard
Between the Pyrenean mountains and the Méditerranée. Different plots of soils made up of sandstone, schist and chalk and clay.
Winemaking
Cold maceration and then fermentation for 10 days in temperature controlled stainless steel vats. In stainless steel vats.
Tasting notes
Dark and vivid ruby red. Full and fruity this Malbec offers notes of violet and black fruits. Rich in mouth the tannins are pretty well integrated. This wine is very balanced.
