Disgorged in May 2018 with three grams per liter dosage, the 2012 Brut Premier Cru Ecueil exhibits a pretty bouquet of ripe citrus fruit, hazelnuts, honeycomb and yellow orchard fruit. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, bright and vinous, with a tight-knit core, fine concentration, a youthfully frothy but fine mousse and a mouthwateringly chalky finish. Intense and precise, this is also a terrific value.
