Montaubret Brut Rose
Champagne CVCA - Champagne
65% Pinot Noir and 35% Chardonnay from several harvests.
Overlooking the Arce valley, Chassenay castle has been an icon of this aera since the XIth century. It gave its name to the Champagne Chassenay d’Arce. The founding winegrowers set it up in 1956 on the village known as Ville sur Arce in the very South of the Champagne region. The winegrowers chose to cooperate together. Thus, they put together their know-how and their productions of grapes to build up an identity and a brand that would belong to the Arce valley. They chose for their headquarters a huge mansion of character. Their heritage is made of bricks and local stones and reflects the generous subsoil of the Côte des Bar.
Champagne Montaubret expresses all that the «Cote des Bar» terroir has to offer. On the Southern exposure and ancient soils of the Champagne region, 130 Vinegrowing families pull the best of an unique and exceptional 325 ha vineyard.
Vinification in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats. Malolactic fermentation. Blended with 15% still red wine (Pinot Noir).
Tasting notes
A salmon-pink wine with a lovely brick-red tint gives life to a cordon of light bubbles. The smell is expressive, warm and pleasing with its notes of red fruits, soft spices. The mouth is soft and fluid, fullblown. The red fruits aromas express themselves with a great finesse.
Food pairing
This Champagne will marry very well with brochette of tuna in the Sesame, quails in grape, meringue in red berries.
