Vineyard
Various hill-sides around the little village of Bergheim with a predominance of heavy soils compound by clay and limestone.
Winemaking
While traditional methods of wine-making have been rigourously maintained, the family also used the most up to date equipment. This marriage of old and new enables Koenig team to offer a prestigious marriage of fine wines among the best the French government has distinguished with the Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée label. Constant care is lavished on all the wines before they are released from our cellars.
Tasting notes
Eye: pale yellow color
Nose: expressive, refined, with citrus aromas and some hints of minerality.
Mouth: lively attack, refreshing acidity, vertical structure with a clean and dry finish. A classic dry Riesling from Alsace!
Food pairing
With grilled & raw fish dishes, seafood, poultry, white meat. Perfect for pork based gastronomy!
