history
Created in Ancenis in 1955, the Vignerons de la Noelle are a group of producers belonging to the Alliance Group. The vineyard represents an area of 700 hectares. Mainly in A.O.C., the plots are 75% in Nantais and 25% in Anjou with a proportion of 65% for whites, 17% for reds, 15% for rosés and 3% for fine bubbles or sweet wines.
Vineyard
Between the Sèvre and Maine rivers. The terroir is a mixture of volcanic rock with a great deal of light, stony soil, either silica-based (mica-schist gneiss) or more alkaline (gabbro amphibolite greenstone. Vines : 30 years old -100 acres - Yield : 40Hl/Ha
Winemaking
Pressed then fermented in temperature-controlled vats. Aged on its fermentation lees for 8 months.
Tasting notes
Pale yellow color with greenish highlights and an intense floral bouquet with overtones of spices and fruits. Its richness, balance, and freshness make this wine an excellent example of its appellation.
Food pairing
Perfect accompaniment to fish and seafood dishes. White meat dishes, especially when the wine is a few years old. Should be served chilled (46 to 50° F).
Aging potential
3 years.It is enjoyable young, but will age well for several years.
