The Dubard Family is for more than 30 years, the most famous producers of refreshing and reasonably priced wines in South-West France. The family members offer differing personalities of graduate oenologists, wine makers and viticulturists who together make up a dynamic and passionate team that has been renowned in the Bergerac wine region for decades. Being receptive to their terroir, combining common sense and long experience with ceaseless wine-making and viticulture: these are the founding principles on which the family has relied in their exceptionnel cuvées. They are also ongoing on the environmental label "HVE" (High Environmental Value).
Vineyard
Shallow Clay-limestome soil with a thin layer of ha at a depth of 30-50 cm. The vines are situated on a rd limestone breezy
hillside with a North-South orientation. On the slopes that face
the rising sun, a light de-leafing was carried out at the beginning
of July in order to extend the ripening of the grapes and allow
them to reach a certain « passerillage » as a result of the sun’s
concentration.
Winemaking
Long and soft gentle direct pressing in order to extract the
essence of the Semillon and achieve the desired volume and
balance. One-week’s cold settling then encourages exchanges
between the must and fine lees. The fermentation takes place in
50-hL oak vats. 10 months of ageing on fine lees.
Tasting notes
An elegant minerality, almond & flint overtones show on the
nose. In the mouth, the complexity and volume are outsanding,
with a mixture of gingerbread, bergamot and bay leaf aromas.
The flattering flesh this wine reveals on the palate is counterbalanced by a beautiful sense of tension on the finish.
Food pairing
Aperitif, fish filet with sauce, white meat, goat cheese. Serve not
too chilled (56°F).
Aging potential
5 years.

Wood aged, now mature, this Sémillon is ripe and creamy. Light spiciness and hints of apricot and pear contrast with nutty, tangy flavors that give the wine structure. It is ready to drink.
