The vineyard is owned by two brothers: Eric and Joël .   Their vineyards cover 13 ha (8 ha of Saint Joseph and 5 ha of Cornas).  They took over the family estate and started bottling our wine in 1991.  They work hard to ensure their harvests will be fully expressive of the terroir. They love wines that have personality but are still fine and elegant.

﻿This family estate, Lautaret, was taken over by Eric and Joel with bottling starting in 1991. Emotion is a 100% Syrah expressive of the granite soil of the northern Rhone. The 2018 Emotion was awarded 91 by Wine Spectator, noting its “mix of plum and red cherry fruit supported by a fine chalky spine and backed by lingering violet, sweet tapenade and singed alder echoes.”﻿

Wine Advocate has awarded the 2018 Emotion with 91. The Cornas wine is “loaded with licorice and deep purple plums.”

Scoring it 93 points, the Cornas wine gives “notes of cherry and plum preserves scored with chalky minerality and savory and olive twines.” Only 70 cases have been imported.

Emotion, Cornas, received a 90-92. The magazine awarded 92 to the cuvée Emotion. With “Lots of dark currants, chocolate, roasted meats, and smoked earth notes” this wine, “with a rich, concentrated, burly style” will age well and can be kept for a solid decade. <img src="https://api.terrisson-wines.com/api/photos/11177/type/news/tag" style="width: 400px; height: 400px; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"> Expression, Saint Joseph, notched a 91. For the 2019 Cornas Confidence, Jeb Dunnuck gave the beautiful rating of 97. &ldquo;All Syrah that was 70% destemmed and spent 18 months in 30% new barrels&rdquo;, this vintage &ldquo;brings tons of richness and depth in a pure, clean, quasi-modern style while still being pure Cornas to the core&rdquo;. Envisioning a 20-year drinking window, the wine critic highlights the wine&rsquo;s &ldquo;dark fruits, ground pepper, game, violets, and spice&rdquo; that &ldquo;all give way to a full-bodied, wonderfully textured, balanced 2019 with the texture and balance&rdquo;.

The 2020 vintage scored a 96. This &ldquo;full-bodied beauty of a Cornas&rdquo; is &ldquo;100% Syrah that will spend 18 months in barrel (30% new)&rdquo;. Being &ldquo;dense purple-hued, with awesome levels of cassis and blackberry fruits&rdquo;, the wine has &ldquo;plenty of classic pepper, smoked game, and floral notes, a terrific sense of freshness, no hard edges, ripe tannins, and a great finish&rdquo;.

Moreover, &ldquo;this cuv&eacute;e comes from hillside parcels (a mix of granite and limestone) and 30-year-old vines. It was 75% destemmed and spent a year in 20% new barrels&rdquo;, he concludes.

The 2022 Saint Joseph Expression has outstanding potential and brings lots of fruit as well as some classic Saint Joseph minerality. Red plums, black raspberries, crushed stone, pepper, and bouquet garni notes define the aromatics, and it's medium-bodied and textured, with ripe tannins.

The 2022 Cornas Emotion will be a step up over the 2021 and offers beautiful currant and cassis-like fruit as well as graphite, ground pepper, and violet notes. It's medium to full-bodied, has a round, layered mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and outstanding length.
